The sole private lab dedicated to applied research in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience in Brazil, located in the city of Uberlândia, is home to studies that are transforming the way people are qualified
According to current neuroscience research, teaching and learning are two crucial processes for both individual development and life in society, as they involve the exchange of information with specific purposes. However, solely emphasizing the social aspects of these processes can hinder the manner in which people are qualified – since teaching and learning are neurobiological phenomena at their core, requiring more efficient methods in order to affectively assist in the development of professionals.
This was the catalyst for founding Bittar Neurociência, the sole private lab dedicated to applied research in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience in Brazil, with a focus on developing solutions to manage and enhance how people are qualified. By mapping out cognitive and behavioral activities, it’s possible to develop techniques and methods capable of increasing productivity, optimizing learning, and managing focus and attention. The lab also designs teaching methodologies through Virtual Reality resources. Click here to learn more.
Despite the significant progress made by science in understanding how memories are formed and stored, there’s much to be learned about how knowledge is elaborated and expressed in the brain. It’s also important to evaluate pedagogical techniques from a neuroscientific perspective, which could potentially aid in knowledge processing and application.
This shift in how teaching and learning are spread not only will directly impact all areas of life, but is also essential for addressing the educational and economic crises the world is facing. The current landscape demands more qualified individuals who can handle complex problems without sacrificing their productivity. Because if what exists doesn’t work, someone needs to move forward.
